One of my New Years resolutions was to go out and shoot more. It’s really easy to photograph a wedding and then not pick up your camera again until the next one.
I really want to break this habit and although I’ve only been out a couple of times, it’s a start right?
I feel that doing this will help improve my wedding photography because it’s similar to the way I like to shoot a wedding, completely natural in a documentary way. I have also mentioned my love for black and white photography and this definitely fits in with my street photography.
I also think that investing in a new camera has helped. The Fuji XT2 is perfect camera for street photography. It’s small, light and inconspicuous. It also produces fantastic images!
Living just outside of Cambridge I am in the perfect place to try out some street photography. The Market Square is a great location and different from day-to-day. This was my first go to place to try my hand to this type of photography.
I also went to London recently and photographed during dusk when the light was fading. This was great fun and enabled me to use the bright lights of Oxford Street.
