One of my favourite wedding venues in Cambridgeshire has to be Chippenham Park! It’s truly stunning.

Chippenham Park is a privately-owned Grade II listed house, surrounded by 300 acres of stunning Parkland and Gardens.

It’s located on the Suffolk-Cambridgeshire border near Newmarket. Cambridge, Norwich and Hertfordshire are all easily accessible, making it easy for your guests to reach, but secluded and peaceful enough to give you a truly magical day.
The estate is perfect for any wedding, especially if you want an outdoor ceremony by the Summer Lakehouse. You also have the Octagon or the Old Ballroom if the weather isn’t perfect.

The gardens are stunning and really gives your wedding the wow factor. Beccy is the wedding planner at Chippenham Park making the day run smoothly. She is really lovely, very friendly and makes sure your day is perfect. There are so many wedding venues in and around Cambridge but this one really stands out. It has everything you could wish for – views, character, space and charm. The evening part of your day will be held in the marquee at the bottom of the garden and provides the perfect space for you and your guests to let your hair down.

The history of Chippenham Park

The estate was acquired back in 1558 by Thomas Revett and then around 1600 it passed to the Russell family and in 1689 the house was Commissioned by Edward Russell. In 1791 is was acquired by John Tharp and remained in the family until 1948 when it was inherited by a nephew Basil Bacon. It wasn’t until the Crawley family inherited it in 1985 that it was turned into a wedding venue as you see today.
