London wedding photographer for wanderlust couples

About Lee Allison

Hi, I’m Lee, I live in a small market town in Saffron Walden with my wife Kelly, our daughter Edie and our two dogs Doris and Ralph. When I’m not at a wedding, you’ll find us in the pub for a big Sunday roast! Both big foodies, we’re always looking for the next great place.

Travelling to places such as Dubai, Italy, and Turkey to shoot your weddings is such an honour and I feel so lucky to be able to combine my love of photography with my love of travel.

My photography style is mainly documentary, capturing those fleeting moments that you may not have even seen on the day. It’s these small moments that really inspire me. To be able to give my clients these memories is just the best feeling!

I’d been counting down the days to this wedding day ever since I first spoke with Annie and Ollie, and it didn’t disappoint! I loved every minute of being their Garden Museum wedding photographer.

Becky and Antony’s wedding was super stylish with a chilled vibe.

It was jaw dropping day from the moment I arrived at bridal prep at ME London. Becky and her girls were getting ready in an incredible suite, with panoramic views over London. The natural light was a photographers dream, and the atmosphere was buzzing!

Sunsets, sea and partying, this was the vibe for their fun but relaxed destination wedding in Dubai.

Straight after their epic Ethiopian infused wedding, Dina and Nathaniel flew me out to Santorini to join them on their honeymoon. This was a first for me but WOW, what an awesome idea!!

Getting married in London

I’m a London wedding photographer. Honestly, what could be a more perfect combo for your wedding day in the beautiful city of London?! You have the most stunning venues to choose from;

There are so many incredible wedding venues to choose from, the possibilities are endless! You have the super cool derelict Asylum Chapel for your ceremony or maybe the iconic Gherkin? You could even get married in the National History MuseumTrinity Buoy Wharf is also one of my favs!

You’ve got loads of amazing quirky pubs where you could have your wedding reception. Maybe this pub has a personal connection – did you meet here? Was it where your first date was? It’s great to have the location mean something to you both.

Some London wedding venues may have space for your bridal party to get ready, but the majority won’t, so another great option is to rent out an Air BnB. This will give you all the space you need and will also be great for photos. My top tip for this is try and book somewhere that has a lot of window light and is bright. The other option is a hotel, but some can be quite dark and a little small, so I’d suggest an Air BnB over a hotel.

Your wedding the way you want it

London weddings these days are so different to years gone by, and too right! They’d always follow a strict, set format, but today couples are thinking outside of the box and creating a wedding celebration that suits them and their personalities.

There’s much inspiration out there from wedding blogs to imagery on social media. Once you know the day you want, you can match that with the photographer that best fits you and your style.

You need to decide what’s important to you, is it the small details or is it the memories? The photos are the only thing that will be with you for the rest of your life (aside from your partner!)

Are you thinking of eloping? Do you want an epic dress and shoes? Do you want a massive party with over 100 guests? If that’s the case having it close to where you live could be the right choice.

Celebrant led weddings are my favourite and are getting really popular. They make your wedding ceremony so much more personal to you. I can make some great recommendations to help you.

So why book me for your London wedding photography?

My natural documentary style is super relaxed and creative. Did I mention I used to be a designer? This is a big benefit when editing photos and designing wedding albums.

I won’t be getting you to pose awkwardly or do anything you don’t feel comfortable doing. My job is to make sure that the photography captures the true essence of your day, and both of you.

I love London. It’s a great place to live and I tell everyone I meet they should move here. And because I’m local I can make great recommendations for other brilliant local suppliers and even meet up to chat in real life.

I 100% recommend to anyone thinking of tying the knot in this incredible city of Lobdon, to go ahead and do it! And if you are, then let’s book a time to talk about your wedding photography.
